A fearless founder on a mission to honor her son, change the odds for young brain cancer patients, and inspire thousands along the way.
AS FEATURED ON
A true tour de force, Liz Dawes has moved hearts and minds to raise millions for paediatric brain cancer research and patient care. In just five years, the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation has created the largest event for paediatric brain cancer in Australia: Connor’s Run, and brought world-leading research technology to Australia with the AIM BRAIN Project.
For 16 months, Connor’s brilliant mind, strong body and gentle soul faced off against an anaplastic ependymoma. But on April 20, 2013, Connor’s own battle ended. Inspired by his spirit of Aeternum Fortis, meaning Eternal Strength, Liz created the RCD Foundation as a tribute to him and other brain tumour fighters.
